The Behind the Wall Home Tours had their final outing for the
season. Many homes have private pools, but few have tiled artwork like this
one. |
Murals are very popular throughout the village of Ajijic, and
some are now creating works of art like this one inside of their home. This one
is in their dining room. |

March is the big hooray when it comes to concerts and the
theaters, in that it signals a turn known as the "low season." Neill
Diamond's tribute attracted over hundred folks. |
Selena tribute ignited the audience with her hit songs like Bidi
Bidi Bom Bom and Como La Flor. She sang from the stage and throughout the
audience. |
|
|
|
The Selena Tribute was a community engagement event for LCS, where
Mexicans were invited to attend at no cost to them. About three hundred people attended and
it turned out to be a tremendous success. |
The LCS annual general meeting was a bit contentious. A group of
members wanted to over through the Board of Directors but were limited to only
three new members. |

Welcome to "Wine and Murder" Glorine's latest Murder
Mystery Party. We made up signs, wine labels, and music. Four couples came in
costume and had fun playing their role. |
Our living room was turned into a big dinner room where the play took
place. In addition to directing, Glorine prepared fajitas between Acts 2
and 3. |
|
|
|
David and Karina played Bud Wiser, an FBI agent and Tiny Bubbles played
the wife of the estate owner, who was recently found dead in the wine cellar. |
Kay and Dean played Hedy Shablee, who owns the vineyard estate next
door and Otto Van Schnapps a famous German wine merchant. |
|
|
|
Chris and Barbara played Ralph Rottingrape the manager of
the estate and Bonny Lass, a murder mystery author from Scotland. |
Margo and Jim played Marilyn Merlot, a local who becomes a
famous actress and Papa Vito, a field hand who ran the operation. He was the
murderer!!! |
|
|
|
We were joined by friends at a local pub restaurant for
Glorine's birthday bash. The restaurant had live music and great
food! |
Ron and Jean are snowbirds from Maine. This past year they put
the final touches on a remodel of a new home they bought in the village. Muy
Buenos! |

John and Pat are Canadians who settled here full time about
fifteen
years ago. John has been a speaker at Open Circle and loves to write. |
We met Chuck and Jean in December 2007, our first winter we spent
in Ajijic. They are from northern CA and spent three to four months here. |
|
|
|
Glorine baby sister, Maureen and Wayne were our first house
guests in Ajijic in 2007. Unlike us, they decided early to make Mexico their
home and still love it. . |
Barbara and Chris were snowbirds from Maryland who are now
permanent residence here. We met them through volunteering events and mindfulness meetings. Chris
is now helping Larry use AI. |
|
|
|
Randy and Andy are friends and snowbirds from upstate New
York. They are snowbirds but spend lots of time traveling the world. |
Jim and Margo are friends from Regina. They too will be heading NOB shortly. They keep busy volunteering and enjoying the warm climate. |
|

|
One of our evening strolls, we took in this band jamming near
our home. It was a restaurant they tore down and converted it into an open
air Music Chapel. |
Chuck and Jean hosted a farewell dinner before leaving for CA.
Her mom turns 101 this year and they will be spending time in New York to celebrate
the event. |
|
|
|
We took in the No Tyrants, No Kings rally in the Ajijic
Plaza. About three hundred people attended the event filled with music, speeches, and
displaying signs. |
Another evening stroll took us to a local casino, with lots of slot
machines. Larry played this one with $500 pesos or $25 and walked away with over
$300. WOW! |

Mexico's largest freshwater lake is considered a great view
lake, but others like it for water sports, fishing, and touring. Mt. Garcia is
an ancient volcano standing in
the background. |
The last LCS Concert in the Park featured a tribute to Michael Buble
and Frank Sinatra. While we still love good old Rock n Roll, we were surprised
that we knew every song they song. |
|
|
|
Nacho Granados and Armando Chakam play mostly in Puerto
Vallarta We had a table of ten joining us for this tribute and we all
enjoyed the music. |
We put the finishing touches on our new carport just in time for the
upcoming "rainy season." It also shades the south part of the house, which will
keep the house cooler this summer. |
