In July, we celebrated the second anniversary of Larry’s Stem Cell Transplant with his Oncologist, Dr. Uday Popat, and his Physician Assistant, Crystal Carmichael-Kusy. Both were awesome healthcare professionals. All the various tests they gave Larry showed he remains cancer-free, and that our next follow-up appointment at MD Anderson will be in January 2026. We also wrapped up a four-month, 7,500-mile RV Road Trip through 16 states and one province, sharing fun times with families and friends. As we were driving back to Houston, we discussed the idea of selling our RV and the more we discussed it, the more advantages it became. We will be continuing our monthly update and invite those interested in following us to check us out about the first week of each month.

PS. The candy we bought at Minnesota’s Largest Candy Store in June was shipped to Steve Orduno (Larry’s stem cell donor) as a surprise gift for his 48th birthday.

We had an enjoyable meal with Larry's niece Bryndon and husband Eric. Her mom is Larry's twin sister. We loved hearing about their traveling adventures.	We joined Larry's niece Nancy and Jeff at Chilies and had a great time catching up with their growing families.  They now have three grandchildren!
The Fourth of July was spent on Prior Lake with Denise and family. We talked about water skiing but decided to wait until next year.	Being on the pontoon on Prior Lake was an awesome place to watch the fireworks. The grand finale went on for 15 minutes.
One of the lake homes-owners started a tradition of lighting and launching Chinese lanterns following the fireworks display. What an awesome celebration!	As we were driving to downtown Minneapolis, we took a detour to see the "statue of raised fist" dedicated to the George Floyd incident five years ago.
We spent a day walking with Denise, Chase and Clara along the Mississippi River in downtown to see the Stone Arch Bridge and the Guthrie Theater.	Denise and Clara joined us on an overnight camping trip to Minneopa State Park as we were leaving for  Houston,
Hiking was our primary activity along the many unique features including double waterfalls, an old wind-powered mill and a herd of bison.	Our next stop was Omaha, where we spent four days visiting family. Glorine's niece Roslyn, keeps herself busy with rental property.
Rick, Glorine's nephew, was a treat to see.  It has been many years since we last saw him.  He keeps himself busy driving a bus and baking.  He treated us to homemade breadsticks - delicious!	Next, we spent time with Larry's brother Bob's family; Francie, Cindy, Rob, and Al. On our visit last year, Al took time to drive the RV from Omaha to Houston. It was great catching up!
Greg, Larry's nephew, shared lots of information about the stem cell transplant he had done at the VA Med Center in Seattle 20+ years ago. It was a long road for him.	On to Tulsa to catch up with Larry's godson and nephew, Ben. He and his partner Becca, recently moved to Oklahoma to begin their new lifestyle together!
We had an RV Estate Sale and put our Sprinter  on consignment. With low miles and in great condition, they say that it should move quickly.	From Lakeside RV Resort, we moved to this cool boutique hotel near MD Anderson to finish packing for our upcoming trip to Ajijic.
We had planned on putting our 2011 Ford on consignment,  but when our mobile RV technician saw it, he gave us twice what CarMax would have given us.	We combed through our remaining "stuff" and decided what we needed in Ajijic. Four checked bags, two carry-ons and two personal bags flew with us to Ajijic.
