Ah!! Our sixth winter in Mexico. We had just returned from an evening of kayaking on Lake Chapala, when we caught this incredible view of the sun setting. Another wonderful day in Ajijic. Keep us informed by clicking on the email link Larry and Glorine.

We are renting this two bedroom, two bath home in a newer complex in Ajijic and will be our home for five months. | The rooftop patio has a great view in all directions. This is one view of Lake Chapala to the south.
The complex is designed as a resort, with a swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts, club house with a fully equipped kitchen and two pool tables. | Maureen and Wayne (Glorine's sister) are in their fifth year of living in Ajijic and still loving it. It is fun to have family nearby.
In addition, the complex has a fully equipped gym. Jorge (George) Santiago, a local personal fitness trainer, put a daily fitness routine together for us. | Here is one of the multi-function machines we put to use three time a week. Larry is starting to get some muscle back in his arm.
Friends Jerry and Gloria stopped over to give us a second opinion on our workout routine. Thumbs up and another round of Tequila. | Wayne is still active with a tech school called Have Hammers Will Travel. Here he is as the MC for another one of its fundraisers.
The Have Hammers fundraiser is also a fun raiser, including food, drink, Rumba dance lessons and an evening of dancing. | Each Sunday we attend Open Circle, a group that sponsors a variety of thought provoking presentation--this one on Mexico leading the war on Global Warming.
Street vendors have a variety of products to offer. Here Glorine is checking out some homemade jewelry. | Each year, Ajijic sponsors a major art and craft show with pottery, artwork, jewelry, etc., from indigenous people from throughout Mexico.
Glorine (in the blue) is among 20 kayakers enjoying a late afternoon cruise on Lake Chapala. | We took a break on the return trip. It is nearly two miles from the shoreline to the top row of houses. These mountains are bigger than they appear.
Friday nights and happy hour still works fine, even for those of us that are living the good life in retirement. | These youngsters are from Guadalajara and play mighty fine jazz. Another fun night out.
In addition to the fun, we also volunteer a bit. Here is Glorine at the Annual BIG Ajijic Yard Sale. People were lined up for hours to get in. | Glorine helped sort and price for three Thursdays before the sale and helped setup on Friday and worked the day of the sale. Nice thing is she gets the first pick and found some much needed stuff. |
November's web page includes November 1 through November 30.
